ICT and Data Protection

The Trust will provide a number of ICT support services to academies in addition to providing management and oversight of all aspects of Data Protection.

Data Protection support is provided by an external provider, GDPR Sentry.

Our core ICT and Data Protection services include:

• Strategic planning and the production of digital strategies aligned with the trust digital strategy
  • Production of strategic network and infrastructure upgrade plan
  • Advice and support with DfE cyber security and digital standards
  • Advice and support for GDPR Sentry including SAR and FOI requests
  • Production of core trust-wide IT and security policies
  • MIS technical support and migration project management for migrations
• Ensure that all software licensing has best value for money
• Production of trust-wide website templates in line with trust guidelines
• Complete yearly website compliance checks, providing a feedback report
• Project management for 365 tenant migration services
• Implementation and support of cloud-based backup solution services
• Centralised management and support of Senso Safeguarding
• Advice and support with broadband and filtering solutions
• Centralised support and maintenance of MDM solutions
• Lead on asset management services for ICT
• Offer enhanced helpdesk escalation services
• Cyber security response planning service
• Backup and business continuity planning support and guidance
• Advice and guidance on disaster recovery strategies
• Production of a suite of core IT and security policies
• Lead data management professional network meetings
• Advice and support on IT audit reporting
• Lead AI development workgroups
  • Production of baseline ICT usage reports
• Advice and support on ICT investment and procurement
  • Annual ICT audit in line with DfE standards and guidance
• Lead weekly IT briefings for technical leads to attend
• Termly meetings with ICT teaching leads
