Three Spires Trust Announces new Deputy CEO and additional appointments

Three Spires Trust is pleased to announce several significant changes to its central team, aimed at strengthening leadership and operational capacity as the Trust embarks on its newly launched four-year strategic plan. These changes, effective immediately, reflect the Trust’s commitment to fostering a culture of “flourishing” as inspired by the Church of England’s values.

Richard Mayfield appointed Deputy CEO

Richard Mayfield has been appointed as the new Deputy CEO, in addition to his existing role as Chief Financial Officer. Richard will assume broader leadership responsibilities across the organisation and play a critical role in implementing the Trust’s strategic plan, launched in June 2024, which focuses on promoting the “flourishing” agenda. His expertise in business management and strategic insight positions him well to guide the Trust through its next phase of growth and transformation.

New Additions to the team

Joining the central team are six highly skilled professionals:

Internal Reshuffle

Further changes within the Trust include:

Her appointment also reflects the success of our Institute of Education’s professional development programmes and her impactful work in revitalizing curricula across the sector.

Lynne Williamson: Appointed as Director of ITT and Worship Lead, Lynne will continue to build on the success of the new Initial Teacher Training programme introduced through the Trust’s Institute of Education.

Lizzie Leek: Transitioning to Director of Post-16 and Pathways, Lizzie’s role recognizes her ongoing efforts to connect stakeholders across the sector and industry, focusing on developing career pathways, relevant qualifications, and lifelong opportunities.
