12 Jun Duo appointed to lead the new Three Spires Trust Wolverhampton hub!
Three Spires Trust is pleased to announce the appointment of two experienced senior leaders to lead a new Wolverhampton Educational hub, supporting existing and new academies across the city.
Dean Coombes takes up the role of Trust Director of Education for Wolverhampton, working with CEO, Emily Verow, to provide strategic oversight of our academies and enabling our existing 2,000 students in the city to achieve their full potential. Dean has spent the past fifteen years as a Headteacher in the heart of Wolverhampton and will enable our academy Principals and staff to realise the full long-term benefits of collaboration in Wolverhampton as part of Three Spires Trust.
Dean commented, “There are exciting days ahead for The King’s CE School and St Peter’s Collegiate Academy working together as part of Three Spires Trust and I am really looking forward to being part of the journey.”
Supporting Dean, will be Lizzie Leek as our new Trust Director of Post-16 Education. Lizzie currently leads the highly successful and oversubscribed sixth form at St Peter’s Collegiate Academy and will head up our new joint Post-16 partnership – initially between St Peter’s Collegiate Academy and The King’s CE School. This venture will provide five hundred post-16 places across the two academies and ensure students from Wolverhampton and surrounding areas have unlimited opportunities within a vibrant, inspiring and exciting post 16 environment, to rival any other single provider in the city.
On her appointment, Lizzie said “I am excited to collaborate with colleagues to create dynamic, engaging pathways that will enable our students to flourish. We are committed to offering new breadth across the Post-16 curriculum, and extra-curricular opportunities to explore their interests and passions. A well rounded education is essential for success in today’s world and as a team we will work tirelessly to ensure our students receive an inspirational post 16 education. Together we will create a Post-16 program that is second to none.”
Both Dean and Lizzie will take up their posts on 1st September 2023.
