DSL Training

DSL Training

Training is important for all staff – the training and ongoing professional development for our DSLs is a key part of this

Training for a job role is not a “one off” course!  At Three Spires, we believe it is important that our specialist safeguarding staff access their local safeguarding partnership’s training programme, but also that they are able to engage with ongoing appropriate professional development.  There is a lot available to them and the training of our DSLs and the wider safeguarding team is a job that will never be complete, as there is always new research, new lessons, new challenges and new risks.

Section Title

Engagement with local safeguarding partnership training

All DSLs and DDSLs are responsible for ensuring that they keep their local safeguarding training up to date on a biannual basis.  Three Spires Trust is clear that local training cannot be replaced by online provider platforms.  KCSIE makes clear that DSLs need local training.
