DSL Support

Safeguarding is at the centre of all we do at Three Spires. We appreciate the invaluable part that our DSLs and their teams play in safeguarding our students.
Our DSL support offer
  • A full child protection policy suite, including safer recruitment and online safety
  • Access to advice, guidance and support to staff members on all safeguarding matters
  • Regular caseload supervision for key staff, including support in escalating concerns and raising complaints
  • Monthly network meetings for DSL and DDSL team members
  • Training in updates to statutory guidance and key updates
  • Annual culture of safeguarding reviews
  • Regular review of recording keeping and complex caseload
  • Support in developing and delivering training packages for school staff and governors
  • Preparation of data for safeguarding governor reports
  • Single Central Record oversight, review and guidance
  • Advice regarding allegations management; including low level concerns and LADO referrals
  • Support to deliver new staff safeguarding induction
  • A comprehensive package of CPD for safeguarding specialist staff that supports the upskilling of those working with vulnerable children
  • Central team membership as reviewing managers for any Rapid Reviews or Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews
  • Access to the Employee Assistance Programme for targeted support, as required.
