Catherine was appointed as Headteacher of St Giles’ and St George’s Academy in April 2019. From September 2023, Catherine also took on responsibility for the strategic oversight of St Thomas’ (a local primary school also within the Three Spires Trust).

Catherine completed her undergraduate degree at Durham University and Postgraduate qualification at Oxford University; she has over 20 years’ experience teaching in both the Secondary and Primary Sector. During her career, she has worked in many different types of school and has led improvement in both faith and non-faith-based schools. At St Giles’ and St George’s, Catherine had the honour of being both the CEO and Headteacher of a MAT and is now bringing this knowledge and expertise to the Three Spires Trust.

Catherine’s ethos to accept and include all children regardless of their needs and provide a setting they can thrive in; a setting in which everyone is included, happy, safe and making progress is at the heart of everything at St Giles’ and St George’s.
