Financial Literacy

Financial Literacy

Financial literacy is a foundation for freedom and opportunity. Our learners deserve the knowledge and confidence to understand money, make informed choices, and build futures defined not by uncertainty, but by empowerment.

The Three Spires NextGen Financial Literacy Curriculum, co-created with Build and Conquer, is designed from KS2–KS5 and built around five essential skills: Money Awareness, Budgeting, Credit & Risk, Wealth Creation, and Ethics. Alongside these sit the Trust’s core competencies: critical thinking, ethical decision-making, problem solving, communication and real-world application, ensuring learners can interpret information, challenge assumptions, and question persuasive financial messages.

Students explore mortgages, car finance, loans, credit scores, savings, tax, pensions, payslips, and faith-based finance. They use critical thinking and reasoning to identify scams, misinformation, and exploitative financial offers.

Through simulations, scenario-based tasks, and real-life case studies, learners build the confidence and capability to make informed, responsible financial decisions with independence and integrity.

We invite schools, Trusts and leaders to join us in reimagining the future of financial literacy by partnering with Three Spires Trust.
