360 Reviews of Children and Young People

360 Reviews of Children and Young People

Sometimes it can be really helpful to talk through a child’s experience and to unpick what is happening by reviewing files, exploring everything that is known about the child and seeing what information the school already holds in order to inform the next steps.

What does a 360 review consist of?

Our 360 review of a child or young person allows the school to talk through what they know – always triangulating it with the questions:

  • How do you know this?
  • What does this mean?
  • Where is this documented?

Using this information means that the school is in a good position to then consider next steps.

What next steps could there be following a 360 review of a child?

Next steps include:

  • APDR cycles
  • Referrals to other agencies
  • Engagement of pastoral support systems within school
  • CPD for staff
  • Recommendations for further assessment
  • Specialist teacher consultation
  • EP consultation

and much more besides.
